The first workshop on IT for Teaching was held on 27 August 2011 at VMFT for the members of the Teacher Resource Centre.  Shri. N.T.Nair, Chief Editor, Executive Knowledge Lines inaugurated the programme.  Dr. K. Soman, Director, VMFT  welcomed and Dr.C.G.Sukumaran Nair  and Mr.A.Suhair addressed the participants . 16 High School Teachers from various schools in Trivandrum and Kollam Districts received hands-on training in computers supported by theory class.

A poster exhibition on “History of Science” was inaugurated at the Teacher Resource Centre, VMFT on 7^th Feb 2011. About 50 teachers and students from Trivandrum schools attended the event.

A biography of Vakkom Abdul Khader Moulavi by Dr. T. Jamal Mohammed was released by Hon. Minister for Cooperation, Shri.G. Sudhakaran at a function held on 12^th April 2010 at the Trust hall. The book was received by senior journalist of Hindu Newspaper Sri. C. Gowridasan Nair. Dr.N.A. Karim presided. Dr.K.T.Jaleel M.L.A, Janab. Mankada Jamaluddin Maulavi, Imam of Palayam Masjid, Sri. T Chandran, Prabhath Books and Sri Kariyavattom Sreekantan Nair spoke on the occasion.

Kerala is observing the centenary of the exile of iconic press freedom fighter Swadesabhimani Ramakrishna Pillai for his bold expose of corruption in high places. A journalist who never gave in to intimidations of the power centres of the day, Pillai was banished from the royal state of Travancore on September 26, 1910 after the journal he edited fearlessly wrote against corruption and injustices when the freedom movement was in its infancy in India. Inaugurating the year long observation functions to commemorate the centenary of Swadeshabhimani’s exile, Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan said that the media persons should follow the principles of Swadeshabhimani.

The candidate will manage the Teacher Resource Centre at VMFT  and web services.  Besides, he/she will provide logistic support to the training at school level and at the Centre and  will also man age the comp uters and related equipments in the centre. (more…)
